Hi, I’m katerina

My name is Katerina Floescher. I am a diploma artist and wall painter living in Wiesbaden, Germany. I’ve been working on individual wall designs and commissioned paintings since 2017, handling everything from design to execution. I create wall paintings for both commercial and private spaces, providing a comprehensive service that is both enjoyable and professional. I believe my clients can sense the passion and fun I put into my work.

I specialise in designing and implementing creative wall design concepts for rooms.

Participation in numerous exhibitions, both locally and globally, has allowed me to showcase my diverse portfolio and share my artistic vision with a wider audience. As a result, my creations now grace private collections in Europe, Russia, the United Arab Emirates and the USA.

In addition to my wall painting work, I conduct watercolor workshops, sharing my passion for art with enthusiasts eager to explore their creativity.

My other services include commissioned paintings, painting workshops for kids, group event painting and ceiling painting.

THE WALL PAINTING PROCESS

Consultation & Concept

  • The process begins with an in-depth discussion with the client to understand their vision, preferences, and the specific requirements for the mural. During this consultation, we discuss themes, styles, color schemes, and the overall atmosphere they wish to create.

  • A site visit is conducted to assess the wall or area where the mural will be painted. This allows for a better understanding of the space, lighting, and any architectural features that may influence the design. Measurements and photographs are taken to aid in the planning process.

Design & Preparation

  • Based on the initial consultation and site visit, I create preliminary sketches or digital mock-ups to visualize the proposed mural. These concepts are shared with the client for feedback and revisions, ensuring their vision is accurately captured.

  • Once the client is satisfied with the concept, a detailed final design is prepared. This design includes specific elements, colors, and layout. The client’s approval is obtained before moving forward to the execution phase.

  • The wall surface is prepared to ensure it is clean, smooth, and primed for painting. Any necessary repairs or treatments are done at this stage to provide a suitable surface for the mural.

Execution & Completion

  • The mural painting begins with outlining the major elements of the design on the wall. This is followed by applying base colors and progressively adding details, textures, and shading. Throughout this process, I use high-quality paints and materials to ensure durability and vibrancy.

    Depending on the complexity and size of the mural, the painting process can take several days to weeks. Regular updates are provided to the client, and they are welcome to view the progress.

  • After the main painting is complete, final touches and adjustments are made to ensure the mural meets the highest standards. This includes refining details and ensuring color consistency.

  • A final review with the client ensures that every aspect of the mural meets their expectations. Any minor adjustments requested are made promptly.

    The project concludes with the client’s approval and a thorough clean-up of the work area.

  • To protect the mural and enhance its longevity, a clear sealant or protective coating is applied. This helps safeguard the artwork against environmental factors and wear over time.

FAQs for Watercolor Workshop

  • If you want to join a watercolor workshop please get in touch with me directly via phone or email.

  • The workshop is 35,- Euro including all materials.

  • The watercolor workshops take place every week. There is one option from 10 am - 1 pm and an evening session from 6 pm to 9 pm.

  • Participants will start with an introduction to essential watercolor materials and techniques, including wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, color mixing, and layering. The workshop includes a live demonstration by the instructor, providing clear, step-by-step guidance.

  • Every class offers a different theme. In each workshop, all students will paint the same theme.
